What is an Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF)?

What is an ETF?

What is an ETF?

An ETF, or Exchange Traded Fund is a simple and easy way to get access to investment markets. It is a pre-defined basket of bonds, stocks or commodities that are wrapped into a fund and then listed onto the exchange so that everyone can use it. They are low-cost and have reduced risk to market exposure.

Growth

How does an ETF grow

As the value of the stocks, bonds, or commodities inside the ETF rises, the price of the ETF also increases. Additionally, many ETFs hold dividend-paying stocks or interest-bearing bonds. These earnings can be paid out to investors as cash or reinvested to compound returns over time.

Stocks

Stocks or ETFs?

While we advocate for a portfolio built around core ETF selection, we recognize that individual stocks can also present profitable opportunities. Although our recommendations focus on ETFs, we actively research stocks to evaluate their growth potential.
